Creativity came first
Drawing and piano were a big part of my life from a young age. That creative side still shapes how I approach interfaces, detail, and visual balance.
A timeline of the moments that shaped how I think, create, teach, and build.
I’m Kevin Yako, founder of Yakoru. I build modern web applications with a focus on performance, maintainability, and clean user experience. My background in development, teaching, and creativity all meet in the way I design software today.

Drawing and piano were a big part of my life from a young age. That creative side still shapes how I approach interfaces, detail, and visual balance.

This gave me an early technical base and helped connect structured problem solving with real-world industry.

Studying computer science gave me a stronger foundation in software development, systems thinking, and engineering discipline.

Teaching sharpened how I explain complex topics, structure projects, and think from the perspective of the person using what I build.

Over the years I’ve focused on modern web development, maintainable architecture, integrations, performance, and clean UX.

Yakoru represents the way I want to work: modern solutions, thoughtful design, and software that feels polished from both the inside and outside.
Every stage of my journey has shaped the way I think about building - with clarity, curiosity, and care for both the technical and visual side of the experience. Today, I bring those values into Yakoru, where I create modern software, thoughtful interfaces, and systems designed to last.
